Spindles, Bug/Ghia '66-'77, Lowered Disc Brake

These new spindles will lower your 1966 and newer VW Bug or Ghia 2-1/2" and convert to Disc Brakes at the same time. By lowering the front end with these new spindles from So. Cal. Imports, you will not change the ride quality! These are new spindles, so there is no core charge! On '66 to '68-1/2, tie rod ends, inner bearings and seal will need to be replaced with '69 and newer parts (sold separately).

With any modified spindle, the mounting location of the wheel moves outward (i.e. it will move the tire closer to the fender lip). The dropped drum or disc brake spindle will move the wheel outward approx. 1/4” each side.

These will not work on Super Beetles.

Note: Using these dropped spindles requires the use of '69-'79 late model wheel bearings as well as '69-'79 late model outer tie-rod ends.
