If your early Beetle has been popped in the rear end more than once, chances are replacing the rear apron may be your only option. If the inner structure has been crushed, there is no way of keeping the heat of the exhaust system from baking the paint off. If your apron is too ratty for words, replace it with a new one. This early panel is made for 1965 through 1966 Beetles but can be used on earlier cars even though it is not the correct part. Welding is required for installation.
