Front Cross Member, Bug/Ghia '49-'77

Because of the virgin steel make-up of the air-cooled VW’s body and chassis, rust is a constant concern. Even in the driest of climates, rust seems to creep its way in somewhere. The floorpan is particularly vulnerable. The front cross member tends to get its fair share of rust because moisture and grime collects around the pedal assembly and up in the body mount bolt access holes from the underside. Fortunately, there are replacement front X-members for those extreme cases and So. Cal. has them. This part requires welding to install. Fits all Type I.
