TMI only uses high quality masonite wood backing for their door panel kits. Cardboard can bend easily, and may deform, especially when dampened by rain, snow or even cleaning solutions. TMI's door panels are embossed using a tool that was made from the Original Volkswagen door panel for an exact match.
